am liking not working as a real teacher as it's giving me time to daydream. instead of being consumed by wondering about what's going to happen at school the next day i can daydream about the book that i'm writing - plot, storyline etc etc.

i sort of like casual teaching cos no day is ever the same.

my day at swansea high

hey there,

just had a casual day of teaching at swansea high in caves beach. was teaching science and i'm an english teacher so had to wing it most of the time.
but even though i didn't know what i was teaching - what's the best detector to detect radioactivity??? what is a sewerage system??? i still had a great day.
a lot of the teenage girls came up to me and said: "are you our teacher?" and they'd look you up and down and suss you out. most of the kids there were great. you hear lots of bad stuff about swansea high kids but my experience was mostly positive.
